On March 25, 2026, Mu Mu Chapter Polemarch, Brother Carl Mason, Jr., was selected as a primary candidate for the United States Coast Guard’s (USCG) College Student Pre-Commission Initiative Scholarship Program.
Brother Mason will attend training this summer at the USCG Training Center in Cape May, New Jersey, where he will receive basic training and leadership development while working alongside Coast Guard units to learn operational missions firsthand.
Upon successful completion of the program and earning his undergraduate degree from George Mason University (GMU), Brother Mason will attend Officer Candidate School to become a commissioned officer in the United States Coast Guard.
Brother Mason stated, “This is a great opportunity for me to not only serve my country but gain leadership skills and training that will be a jump start to my career.”
