Hugene T. Fields

Biography

Brother Hugene T. Fields serves as Keeper of Exchequer for the Eastern Province, bringing steady leadership, financial expertise, and a deep commitment to transparency and accountability. Over the past two years, he has used his professional background in finance, accounting, budgeting, and compliance to strengthen the province’s financial operations and support its long-term stability.
In this role, Brother Fields has focused on improving internal controls, delivering clearer and more timely financial reports, supporting audit readiness, and providing dependable guidance to provincial leadership. He has also worked to ensure open communication around provincial finances, recognizing that strong financial management is essential to advancing the fraternity’s mission and programs.

His service to the Brotherhood spans many years at both the provincial and chapter levels. Brother Fields previously served as Eastern Province Region II Alumni Board Member (2023–2024) and has held numerous leadership roles within the Bowie/Mitchellville (MD) Alumni Chapter, including Keeper of Exchequer, 2nd Vice Polemarch, 1st Vice Polemarch, Polemarch, and, most recently, as a member of the Board of Directors. In 2025, he was honored with the Spirit of Fraternity Leadership Award in recognition of his dedicated service.

Beyond the fraternity, Brother Fields served as Board Chairman of EBED Community Improvement Inc. from 2018 to 2024, reflecting his commitment to community impact and responsible governance.

He holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland, University College, and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University. Through his professional experience, proven leadership, and steady stewardship, Brother Hugene Fields continues to serve the province with integrity, reliability, and a genuine spirit of Brotherhood.
