Richard B. Mattox

Biography

Richard B. Mattox, the Eastern Province Polemarch of Kappa Alpha Psi, is deeply committed to his community and actively mentors students and young professionals throughout the Washington, DC Metro Area. His contributions as a distinguished leader have earned him recognition from peers and local organizations alike.

Previously serving as Polemarch of the Alexandria-Fairfax (VA) Alumni Chapter, Mattox successfully oversaw the acquisition of a $1.5 million Multipurpose Facility for the chapter. He has also held the position of President of the Washington Government Relations Group, representing the Association of Black Lobbyists.

Richard holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from Mississippi State University and a Master’s Degree from George Mason University. He and his wife, Angela are proud parents of two daughters, Angelica and Angelique. The family is actively involved in the Alfred Street Baptist Church, where Richard participates in the Male Chorus and serves on the Board of Directors for the Men’s Ministry Scholarship Endowment Fund.
