William W. Walker III, a retired Lieutenant Colonel from the U.S. Army and successful entrepreneur joined the Chapter Invisible on March 19, 2021. He was 89 years old and lived in
Mount Vernon, Virginia.
Bill was born on November 25, 1931, in Washington DC and raised in Indianapolis, Indiana where he graduated from Crispus Attucks High School in 1948 and his beloved Indiana University in 1952. He was initiated in the Alpha Chapter in 1950.
A career Army Infantry officer, LTC Walker served two tours in Vietnam along with distinguished assignments in Hawaii, Thailand and Fort Bragg, NC. He earned three Bronze Stars and the Legion of Merit. After retirement, he established Logistics Applications, Inc., a successful small business headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia which provided services in Facilities Management, Information Services, and Training.
Brother Walker was a Life Member of the fraternity and an active member of the Alexandria- Fairfax (VA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. where he chaired the Virginia Special Olympic Event, was a strong supporter of the Kappa Scholarship Endowment Fund and was a major sponsor of the annual golf tournament. His sons, along with two of his grandsons are members of the Bond. He was also a Charter Member of the Honolulu (HI) Alumni Chapter.
Bill is survived by his wife of 67 years, Willa Ann, two sons, William Wesley IV (Pam) and Thomas L. Walker (Suzanne), a sister, four grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, many nieces and nephews.
