OSS, Jr., HOWARD J., 80, departed this life on Thursday, January 28, 2021, in Southfield MI.

Born on September 12, 1940, Howard was the eldest son of Howard Sr. and Lucille Moss of Richmond, Virginia. During his lifetime, Howard graduated from Maggie L. Walker High School (1958), Morgan State University (1962) and was later initiated at the Richmond (VA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity (2-RAC-1964). He taught high school Spanish, changed careers, rose through the ranks of the pharmaceutical industry, raised a cohesive, happy family, and was fortunate to enjoy a well-earned early retirement.

Howard was known for his generosity, discipline, quick wit, linguistic skills, unique sense of humor, love of music – especially jazz, and genuine curiosity about the world around him and all the people he encountered along the way.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Troy; their children Valerie and Howard III. (Doris); three grandchildren, Dorian, Austin, and Hanna; his brothers Barry (Faye) and Ronald (Elsie), and many nieces and nephews. Howard was also blessed with countless friends and acquaintances from all walks of life.
