Obituary For Bennie Samuels

On May 15, 2020 Dr. Bennie Samuels of Fairfax, Virginia entered Chapter Invisible. Brother Samuels graduated from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (Florida A&M/FAMU) with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Chemistry. Brother Samuels went on to serve his Country and retired from the United States Army. Brother Samuels also had a trailblazing career in the Federal Government. Prior to his career in the Federal Government Brother Samuels gave back to his Alma Mater as he taught Chemistry at Florida A&M for many years and also served as a member of the Florida A&M Board of Trustees as well Brother Samuels served as the President of the FAMU National Alumni Association (NAA) Washington D.C. Chapter.

Brother Samuels was a 1954 initiate of the Alpha Xi Chapter at Florida A&M University. Brother Samuels was a Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Incorporated and was a dedicated, hardworking, well-respected, Golden Heritage, valued and loved member of the Alexandria-Fairfax (VA) Alumni Chapter (E). Brother Samuels was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years Loretha T. Samuels and leaves to mourn his passing two daughters and one son: Deborah A. Samuels, Christina A. Samuels and Steven G. Samuels.
