Obituary For Alga Evans
Brother Evans was a Spring 1977 initiate of the Richmond (VA) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
He was a devoted family man, a highly decorated educator, and a pillar of leadership in the Richmond community. His life was defined by dedicated service to his family, his profession, and our Noble Clan.
As a distinguished and impactful leader, Brother Evans capped his career in education serving as the principal of Overby-Shepard Elementary School from 1973 to 1985. Within the fraternity, he served as the Keeper of Records for the Richmond Alumni Chapter under the 15th Administration (1980-1982). He was also a dedicated Life Member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
His persistent hard work, commitment, and decades of active service will never be forgotten. Brother Evans is survived by his wife Earlene Evans, Amy Evans and his son, Brother Alga B. Evans, Jr. (Fall 1988 initiate of the St. Paul's College Chapter, the Delta Lambda (E)).
