Reginald B. Elliott, Ph.D “Reggie” Principal of Luke C. Moore Academy (Retired) transitioned peacefully at his residence on April 12, 2019. Son of the late Jennie Johnson Elliott and Curtis G. Elliott. Survived by a host of relatives and his devoted friends, Gloria Tisdale, Mark Chu, Ronnie Campbell; his devoed Goddaughters, Courtney and Candace Campbell, as well as his extended family at Nineteenth Street Baptist Church.

The Eastern Province of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. was established in 1925 during the 15th Grand Chapter Meeting. Earl B. Dickerson, the fifth Grand Polemarch, appointed John Miller Marquess as the first Eastern Province Polemarch. Initially, the province's boundaries extended from Boston, MA, to Washington, DC, but over time, they evolved to primarily include Maryland, the District of Columbia, Virginia, and Bermuda
