Peacefully on Monday, September 19, 2016 of Columbia, MD, formerly of Charleston, WV. Devoted husband of the late Ethel Hawkins; loving father of Lyric Hawkins, James C. Hawkins and Jacquelyn S. Hawkins; devoted son of Esther and James Hawkins, Sr. Also survived by one brother, Raymond S. Hawkins; 10 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of other relatives and friends. A devoted member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity and the West Virginia State Alumni.
