Political / Social Action Power Hour

On behalf of John F. Cotten, the 47th Polemarch of the Washington (DC) Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. we will host our second Political/Social Action Power Hour. We are honored to have Professor, Historian, and Author of Chocolate City – G. Derek Musgrove as our guest. He will discuss the rise of Black Power in DC starting with Stokely Carmichael and Brother Walter Fauntroy. Thereafter, he will discuss the importance of the Home Rule Act of 1973/74, gentrification, and affordable housing in DC.

This event is open to all, so please come out for a worthwhile hour discussion about DC’s history and current climate.
